Cambuslang sits on a long bend on the south bank of the River Clyde, a few miles south east of the city of Glasgow with a population of over 22,000. It has a mix of traditional high street shopping, as well as cosy coffee shops and pubs to stop for refreshments.

Attractions

We are only a 10 minute drive from attractions such as the Peoples Palace and Winter Gardens where you get a chance to see the story of the people and the city of Glasgow from 1750 to the present, Scotlands most famous market - The Barras - and the Templeton Business Centre modelled on the Venetian Doge's Palace built in 1889 which is a remarkable work of art.

Sport & Leisure

A five minute drive from Dunard takes you to The South Lanarkshire Lifestyle Leisure Centre which includes a pool, dance studio and excellent indoor and outdoor sports facilities.  The Tollcross Park Leisure Centre also has an excellent range of fitness facilities, including swimming pool and gym.

Golfers can enjoy a round on one of the numerous excellent courses around Cambuslang and Glasgow, including Kirkhill, Cambuslang Golf Club, Cathkin Braes and Nerston.

For those who enjoy speed, Scotkart offers indoor go-kart racing for visitors of all ages, and is the largest attraction of its type in Scotland.

Business & Industry

Cambuslang Investment Park has attracted many new jobs to the area, and major house building in nearby Newton, Rutherglen and Glasgow. Nearby Dalmarnock is the site of the athletes' village for the 2014 Commonwealth Games. In one of the biggest urban renewal projects in a generation, over 1,000 new homes will be built on the village site.

The surrounding area has been targeted with a regeneration program and The Clyde Gateway Partnership has a  target of 10,000 new housing units-400,000 square metres business/commercial property-50,000 square metres retail and services facilities supporting leisure, public and cultural uses new transport and other infrastructure. This is expected to create 21,000 jobs with a 20,000 population increase. It stretches between Bridgeton Cross, Parkhead Cross and Farme Cross focusing on the Dalmarnock area south of London Road. This is within three miles of Cambuslang.
